This book, devoted to the life journey and legacy of a prominent researcher of the North Marianna L.Ramenskaya, has gathered the memories of those who knew her personally, and sketches throwing light upon her contribution to various fields of botany. In addition, the book comprises some selected works by M.L.Ramenskaya, mostly on issues of geobotany, published in various journals and editions of collected papers, which have now turned into rarities difficult to obtain. Two translations of fiction pieces by little known foreign authors made by M.L.Ramenskaya are published here for the first time. The book ends with an account of the key stages and events in the life and career of M.L.Ramenskaya together with her bibliography.
The book will be of interest to researchers, specialists in botany, graduate and PhD students, as well as all to those interested in the history of Russian science.
